These dogs require extensive amounts of grooming, and the owner may need to be trained on how to do this properly. Kerry Blue Terriers need to be bathed and brushed on a weekly basis. If this is not done consistently, their coat will begin to smell. If you plan on taking your pet to dog shows, it will need to be professionally groomed. This breed of dog rarely sheds hair.
