The tail of these dogs will sometimes be docked, but it is not a standard for this breed. The Entlebucher Sennenhund is a moderate-sized dog that will weigh up to 66 pounds, and it will stand at a maximum height of 20 inches.
These dogs originate in Switzerland and are still rare outside the country. They were named after a place near the region of Lucerne.
