Saima Mohsin is a British journalist and international CNN correspondent, born on 20 June 1977. Moshin was born and raised in London, where she was raised by her mother and older siblings, following the passing of her father when she was young. Although raised by a Muslim mother, she attended christian school, where she participated in singing for the church choir and acted in school plays.
Mohsin attended the University of Birmingham and in 1998 gained a BA (Hons) degree in political science with English literature, followed by a postgraduate diploma in broadcast Journalism in 1999. After graduating from university, she freelanced for a year at BBC World Service, Greater Manchester Radio, GLR and Five Live.
