Nowshera (Urdu: نوشہرہ About this sound elocution (help·info), Pashto: نوښار, pr. Nowkhaar About this sound articulation (help·info)) is the main city of Nowshera District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan, and is one of the biggest urban areas in the province.
Nowshera lies on the Kabul River, and is around 27 miles (43 km) east of the common capital, Peshawar, along the memorable Grand Trunk Road. at 34°0'55N 71°58'29E.
Nowshera is striking for its British provincial period cantonment, which is situated at 33°59'48N 72°0'47E,  and is home to the Pakistan Army School of Artillery, School of ASC, ASC focus, Armor focus, Armed Forces Medical Stores Depot, and School of Armor.
