  • Badin (Sindhi: بدين‎ Urdu: بدین‎) is the primary city and capital of Badin District in Sindh, Pakistan. It lies east of the Indus River. The locale is swampy, rich, and reasonable for developing rice. Some oil fields are situated close to the town. Badin is the principle town of Badin District. The number of inhabitants in the city in 1998 was 61,302.[1] Badin is frequently called 'Sugar State' because of its generation of sugar.[2] Badin District was built up in the year 1975, It includes five Talukas Viz: Badin, Matli, Shaheed Fazal Rahu, Talhar and Tando bago and 46 Union Councils with 14 income circles, 111 Tapas and 535 dehs. This District is circumscribed by Hyderabad and Mirpukhas District in the North. Tharparkar and Mirpurkhas in the East, Hyderabad and Thatta District in the west and Kutch area of India in the South, which likewise frames the worldwide limit with India
